The
Italian magazine 'La Cucina Italiana' featured
Derek's article A 4-Star Chef talks tomatoes
and had the first cover of a chef not from Italy.
In the United States Chef Derek Morgan recieved
a myriad of awards including being named Best
Hotel Restaurant in the World (yes, the world)
in the December 2001 issue of Andrew Harper's
Hideaway Report, a prestigious luxury travel
publications
Chef
Derek Morgan was honored by the James Beard Foundation
for his work and outstanding contribution to the
foundation on February 11, 2003.
Derek's
goal is to strike a balance between aesthetics
and taste, and his is just the adroit hand needed
in the kitchen to temper any overzealous garnishing.
Chef Morgan has appeared at the James Beard house
in September 2001, June 2002, February 2003 and
January 2004.
